Who is a seasoned professional
That same rule of thumb rings true for employees and their hiring practices. If you are dealing with a company who has a senior management team made up mostly of individuals in their twenties and thirties, more times than not their hiring practices will be geared towards individuals close to their age and mind set.
When your senior management team is comprised of a combination of seasoned and younger staff, you will more than likely see a combination of both age groups throughout the company. Of course, we all know there are many contributing factors that are used when making hiring decisions. There are lots of other factors that may come into play, and I am sure you can come up with some on your own. A seasoned professional knows what to do in any given situation and provides guidance to others based on his or her knowledge and skills.
A seasoned professional is complimented by a steady progression of challenging assignments and a balanced escalation in responsibility. Along with possessing distinctive qualifications, the seasoned professional is able to: Identify the characteristics and needs of others at each level of their career development. Monitor and diagnose the performance, competence, and commitment of others to determine their need for direction and support. Provide opportunities for open communication and information sharing.
Resolve conflicts. Build strategic relationships that strengthen performance and achieve company goals. Leadership and influence, demonstrated in every capacity, are traits that exemplify a seasoned professional. As with professionals, key personal qualities that define a seasoned professional are honor, reputation, and trustworthiness. Agree that these two are often interchangeable but context and implication provides a clue - Experience is repetitive exposure whereas seasoning is the maturation process that occurs as a result of this.

Anyone can be experienced, not all are seasoned. It depends on how much you learn and internalize from experience. Seasoned , therefore, is used for people who are experts by virtue of rich and beneficial experience.
Seasoned means knowing a task so well that you "inheritantly" know what is next. Experienced is knowing a task as well, but being cautious and ready for aberrations. Seasoned is commanding based,having more reach to the real world. Experience is administrative based,more relative to the environment both internal and external.
Seasoned means 'used to, accustomed, comfortable with' Experience means 'gone through, experienced, endured' but experience doesn't means 'One is accustomed'.
