Can i backstab ultraxion
Just sec after. If you're undergeared and the fight is taking over 5 mins, you can use the special button to survive the damage until AMS or IBF get ready if they're on cd, it's a strategy. Main dk with dps gear, 2 mins and 38 kill. Other dks take 4 mins mins. Comment by Destrotyrant Not sure what is happening but a little bit after his first hour of twilight I am getting insta gibbed.
It is not fading light, and the combat log just says that I am dying, no damage, no overkill as if I WAS dying to fading light? Anyone have some insight?
Could be that I am a monk and somehow that effects fading light but can't say for sure. Comment by Kaidelair Damn, this guy has such a good voice.
So perfect timbre Comment by maely Soloable by a Disc Priest on 10N difficulty. My gear is approx. This fight is essentially a DPS check 6-minute enrage timer , but you don't necessarily need BiS gear to beat it as a Disc. Each minute that the fight goes on, Ultraxion's damage ramps up.
You could drop Glyph of Penance for this fight if you wanted to because there's really not any running around, but I'd keep Smite for the extra DPS. In my experience, he tends to cast Fading Light twice in a row pay attention! Good luck on your mount chance. Comment by zammullins I thought Sindragosa's voice was bad, but at least she was a hilarious kind of bad. Ultraxion's voice simply sounds baaaaaad. Comment by Grummulthrus Currently 6.
Comment by S0L0 Just in case it wasn't apparent for any rogues chasing their fangs, spec in to Shuriken Toss for pre Ultraxion trash. Comment by Kaiasha Just a warning, this guy is a bit tough when soloing heroic, you have to burn his 6. Alternatively you could get a partner. It was kind of a tight fit about 5 seconds left , but I managed to pull it off. Big suggestion to any other Warriors who plan to solo this on heroic, make sure you spec into Second Wind , as Ultraxion hits pretty damn hard and you can easily sustain yourself with the leech effect.
I can post the macro incase any other Arms Warriors are interested. Best of luck! Make sure to pre-pot and try to pool up some rage near the end so you can quickly finish him off with Execute spam or else you might not make the enrage timer. Comment by jhw Warriors Charred Glyph helps a ton with the drakes. Comment by hobbesmarcus If you are doing this on man do it with at least three players or have kickass dps.
I went in on a poorly-geared 90 rogue who was going for the legendaries as I imagine many people are and my friend who was 98 and Ultraxion cast Hour of Twilight. We both used cooldowns and didn't go in to the other realm. However, if Hour of Twilight does not hit at least three people he will then cast Twilight Eruption which has a five second cast and wipes the raid. We wiped a couple of times, then did better dps and lived. So if you go with less than three people you have to kill him shortly after he casts Hour of Twilight or else it's game over.
Before pull, pop ancient hysteria with the ray, dismiss him and turn in multistrike buff from LW. When you go below k hp, use exhiliration and other healing cooldowns you have potions etc. Good luck. Comment by Seahnjin This guy is pretty frustrating when you're soloing. The fact that his attack around the one minute mark is an instant kill feels like artificial difficulty. I barely managed to down him in man as a ilvl rogue, but LFR is a no-go, I'm guessing that's because there is no zone-wide debuff decreasing his HP.
It's unfortunate because I love the LFR skins of a lot of the weapons there. This plus the overall low drop rate Ah well. I'll get better gear once I have more time to play. Comment by squirrely Soloable as a ilvl ret pally man First attempt failed because i didnt know the mechanics and died at twilight second attempt i downed him as he was casting it.
I did have to pop heal a couple times but fairly easy as ret. Comment by Rizzwhit Important note: attempting to solo this is a DPS race, since at 45 seconds he will automatically cast Hour of Twilight, which will shatter the Aspects' shield and cause him to start casting his raidwipe suicide ability.
Comment by b1sojf91 Zerged Ultraxion down in 35 seconds If you're trying to solo this guy on 25 man, the reason you may be wiping is Hour of Twilight. In man difficulty, at least 1 player must remain within the Twilight Realm and take damage from this ability, otherwise the raid will instantly wipe. In man, 3 players must do the same. Comment by SardonicScribe So um I just did it on 25 with a meager item level.
BM Hunter. Got him down while he was casting. Who knew? Comment by stym in 25H mode this is currently a pretty tight DPS race he will wipe you shortly after the first hour of twilight. I then used a flask, food and prepot and downed him in 44 seconds. This is going to be progressively easier during the expansion, and a breeze for everyone after patch 6. It's that simple, no shortcuts. Comment by Hamnyr I was kinda sweating it before the pull. If your H BRF geared, this fight is very trivial.
Setup for single-target dps and burst him down. With Sanctified Wrath and Seraphim, I was pulling over k dps.
Encounter was over in 19 secs. Thanks all for the read ahead! And it was close. He almost went boom and killed me. I had some cheap buffs on so, with a good flask and food it would have been less close. Really all the strategy is is to just hammer him down with DPS.
If you are not a DPS class, this is either impossible or very difficult because you cannot survive his ultimate attack. Comment by Nightpawz Soloed him on 25H. Died twice before changing talents and buffing up more carefully. Fairly straightforward DPS burn. Pop everything! Luck 2 you ;-. Comment by RiyanGarrosh For my fellow s looking to solo this First of all, you have to speak to Kalecgos at the top of the tower to begin the encounter. This is actually the bit of info I was initially looking for.
Second, kill the drakes flying around the edge during the initial phase to provide enough room to move around and not get killed by the purple-pools-of-death. I'm a rogue, and simply spamming Throw was enough.
Once you kill the adds and actually get to Ultraxion, the adds will NOT respawn Third, Ultraxion himself is a very simple tank-and-spank fight. I had him down within a few seconds. Hope this helps. Comment by f4ri Warriors: taunting the drakes before ultraxion makes them come down to fight you. Makes it much easier to clear the ramp of all that purple crap without having to spam heroic throw and stormbolt.
Comment by Graxathil He's now very difficult to solo in 25H. Comment by Johnsphil With the stat squish of 8. This resulted in me not being able to open the chest and get any loot.
This is the first time this has ever happened to me, it may just be a one off. Keep this in mind if you're trying for the mount from him. I never got the loot later in the mail, either. Comment by gibblett06 For those who are new to it, you have to speak to Kalecgos upon getting back from the eye of eternity boss and then speak to Thrall afterwards. View in 3D Links. Unstable Monstrosity — Growing Twilight instability causes arcs of Twilight energy to erupt from Ultraxion's hide.
The arcs inflict Shadow damage every 6 seconds, split evenly amongst enemy players in the Twilight Realm and within 30 yards of the target. Every minute that Ultraxion remains in combat reduces the time between arcs by 1 second, to a maximum rate of one arc per second. In addition, the instability prevents Ultraxion from parrying attacks. Twilight Shift — At the beginning of the battle, Ultraxion pulls all enemies with him into the Twilight Realm where they can bear the full brunt of his powerful Twilight assaults.
The Twilight Realm grants players the Heroic Will ability. This pulls the caster out of the Twilight realm for up to 5 sec, but renders them unable to attack, cast spells, or move while concentrating. Fading Light — Ultraxion sucks the light out of his current target and one random player, drawing them into Twilight over seconds. Upon expiration, players in the Twilight Realm instantly die. Players in the normal realm forcibly enter the Twilight Realm, and are afflicted with Faded into Twilight.
Faded into Twilight — Residual Twilight effects cause all threat against Ultraxion to be reset. In addition, no threat will be generated for 5 sec. Enemies caught within the Twilight Realm take unresistable Shadow damage. Players within the normal realm forcibly enter the Twilight Realm. If Hour of Twilight does not hit a player, the Aspects take the full brunt of the attack. This disrupts the shield protecting the Aspects and heralds the end of all life on Azeroth.
Looming Darkness — When struck by Hour of Twilight, powerful waves of Twilight energy course through the victim, rendering them more susceptible to the harmful effects of Hour of Twilight. Players instantly die if Hour of Twilight inflicts additional damage to them. Twilight Burst — If every player stands outside the range of his powerful claws, Ultraxion expels a powerful burst of Twilight energy.
This effect stacks. Twilight Eruption — After 6 minutes have passed, Ultraxion's instability reaches uncontainable levels and erupts outwards as a massive explosion that destroys all nearby foes and Ultraxion himself. If the shields surrounding the Aspects should fall at any point during the encounter, Ultraxion will immediately trigger Twilight Eruption.
Protection of the Aspects The Aspects provide limited aid to the players as they fight Ultraxion. Alexstrasza Gift of Life — Alexstrasza creates a crystal of pure life energy. The crystal has one charge. Only one buff granted by Alexstrasza, Ysera, or Kalecgos can be present on a player at any time.
In 25 player raids, Alexstrasza creates two crystals. I would say it is close on Ultraxion between Combat and Assassination. The legendaries are really strong for Assassination. However, mostly people do not even have an Assassination spec, because you can so easily switch between Sub and Combat without having to reforge. On Madness, I know most of the top parses are Combat and there is some cleaving on the Corrupting Parasites and in p2.
I also know there are some good parses for Assassination. However, I really like Sub on Madness because i it is has burst on a short timer on a short cooldown SD , ii it has great mobility and you can SS to the Corrupting Parasites and Bolt, and iii if you drop a point or more in ES, the healers will like you. I was first to solo tank Madness on Molten. I did it as a bear tank, with no holy paladins. I have done Rag HC enough to know P4 is not as dumb as you may say.
Yes, empowered sulfurs is easy 'cos roots are cast on his feet. Now, let's talk about abusive multiplying dread flames, meteors that when are frozen take half dmg instead of double, frost patch that goes under the texture and an area where if you blink or charge takes you under the map. You solo tanked Madness as a bear tank, fine.
And your point is I'm not sure what you're trying to say there. I never said retail was the perfect example of class balance, what I'm saying is that it's even worse and gamebreaking on Molten. Paladins were overpowered to some extent on retail? They are even more on Molten, combined with other bugs that can lead to class stacking and wiping away the fun from the game. Remember druids stacking on Nefarian? My opinion is simple, and it's nothing more than an opinion : restore class balance first, then release heroic content so we can have the most enjoyable raiding experience on Molten.
My point is, there's negative bugs and positive bugs, and sometimes they balance each other. Another example was the Balance t12 t set which was doing a great amount of dmg and was a huge boost for a broken moonkin spec, I was not doing top deeps like bugged execute warriors but I was doing competitive even reached 60k deeps at Madness while 2 set was 3rd damage molten ended up fixing, which is good, but moonkins are back to being garbage.
Also, having a paladin will surely help go through heroic, but only if you are excellent and follow tactics. If you are just average and you think you gonna face roll DS Heroic cos of your paladin then you are in for a big disappointment. That windward is critical bug and needs to be fixed, removed from market place even. What I just don't want is for them to "fix" a class that was great on retail and turn it into Garbage like they did with Resto Druids.
And also, about my solo tanking I was showing you that I don't care for easy stuff, we always try for new challenges. All times are GMT. Notify me of followup comments via e-mail. Heroic Ultraxion Posted by Malevica on January - 24 - Fight Summary The Ultraxion fight on heroic is pretty much the same as the normal, the difference are fairly small. But you have other ways to survive this: Shadowpriests have Dispersion every 2 minutes 75 seconds with the glyph Fire Mages can use Cauterize once a minute to survive, as long as they get healed up quickly afterwards All Mages can Ice Block to avoid the damage, and Paladins can Divine Shield one as well Rogues can use Cloak of Shadows every 2 minutes, preventing all magical damage taken Hunters can use Deterrence to deflect the spell and take no damage Holy Priests can use Guardian Spirit to help someone survive Discipline Priests can use Pain Suppression in combination with a minor cooldown such as Barkskin or Anti-Magic Shell.
Healing the last 30 seconds At 5 minutes in Ultraxion becomes more Unstable for the final time. You already have this though for timing pre-pots, right? Good luck, and have fun!
