Standish proceeds to get the old man drunk and takes every last penny - and then some away. It's really quite sad to watch. Laura tells Mr. Standish off - something I think is way overdue, but when he threatens her father, she's the one that gets into trouble! Then Mr. Garvey is fired and decides to go home.
